Daniel Fast!

Our church is joining together to do a Daniel fast. Do remember the story in Daniel (Daniel 1:5-17) when Daniel, Rack, Shack, and Benny asked to be tested for 10 days? They asked the guards to allow them to only eat vegetables and drink water for 10 days, instead of indulging in the fine food and wine, and at the end of the 10 days they would be healthier and better nourished than the others. So the guard did as they asked and at the end they were healthier and better nourished than the others. After this the Bible says that to these four men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kids of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds.
We are doing this together to:
* Intentionally listen to God.
* Have discipline and focus our lives spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
* Unite the bride of Christ.
We are asking God to:
* Break through in our personal lives.
* Break through in our families.
* Break through in Fredonia Hill.
During this time we will also be:
* Reading His Word daily and often.
* Meditating on His Word.
* Listen and Praying.
* Recording what God is teaching us.
Our pastor made it clear that this is not to be ritualistic and we are to make the diet what God is leading us to and what our health will allow. Therefore our family (kids will only do this at dinner time because they need more calories than we do) is going to be eating only fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans, and rice, and drinking only water, and along with that I have decided to cut out blogging. I will be back in 21 days.
Please join us in prayer as we do this together. I am anxious to see what God has for us!!

Le Garcon Mange!

This little man is too funny! We set him up with RS and got him started. It cracks me up to hear him repeating the French words that he is hearing. I am sure the little ones will pick this up fast, they already seem to be cruising along.
BTW "le garcon mange" means the boy eats/the boy is eating.

Happy Birthday Sweet Pea!!

Happy Birthday Sweet Friend! You're the BIG 9!! It's so hard to believe you girls are that old. My girl woke up this morning to remind me that it is your BIG day! She would like to skype with you later if you get a chance. Praying God's sweetest blessings over you. I know God has BIG plans for you and we can't wait to watch it all unfold. You are a blessing to all who know you. Sending a BIG birthday hug your way.
Love you to the moon and back-
From our family to yours!

Let it snow!!

We went to Dallas for the week end and on our way home we hit some BAD weather. It started with rain, then sleet, then heavy snow. The kids were so excited. It snowed most of the way home so we are thinking we just might get us some snow later in the night. We shall see...

Gig 'Em Aggs!!

Okay so I know we did not do so well in this game, but it sure was fun going to see it. And we will always be fans not matter what. Gig 'Em Aggies! Whoop!!

Just when you think they never listen to you...

I got to school today to find that my little man had made a new years resolution. I started reading what other kids had said and found things like
"I want to eat at Jalapeno Tree."
"I want to shoot a deer."
And then I got to little man's and his said," I want to help somebody in 2011."

Ahhhh, just when you think they never listen to you they show you that SOMETHING is seeping in! In all honesty this comment is so his heart. He is a natural helper and when he is helping his little tail wags. The other night I was lying in bed not feeling well and he asked if he could bring me something to drink. I told him no thank you and he said then let me pray for you. He proceeded to kneel down beside my bed and hold my hand and pray over me. My eyes water just remembering it. He blesses me and everyone else who know him!

Back to school

These girls came home with lots of homework. We are all back to the grind!! My girl started gymnastics today and loved it, but for me it was a rat race. Out of school, to the grocery store (we were out of EVERYTHING!),race to get to gymnastics on time, race to get D from school on time, and then home to help them with all of their homework while throwing dinner in the oven. I told the girls they were looking so scholarly!! :) I will not show ya'll what I looked like after all that. Let's just say I am tired!! :p

Crazy sleep!

Reagan had two cousins spend the night and they all slept in the living room. I woke up to find Reagan asleep on the couch in this crazy position. How could anyone sleep like this? It looks not so comfortable to me, but I can remember being a kid and being able to sleep anywhere. I hope he is enjoying his youthfulness! :D

More on new year's eve...

Each family made a calendar for a shut in at our church. They turned out so cute. Attached to it was the name of the person you were making it for and their address so you could later go and deliver it to that person. I loved this idea and I loved that we were bringing in the new year right. Loving God and loving others!! I wish I had taken a picture of this but my hands were not free.
Of course there were lots of fire works!

Bringing in the new year with lots of friends...

We spent new years eve night with lots of friends. Some friends of ours have what I would call the ideal house. They live in a huge barn that is on lots of land. They hosted a new years party and invited couples and families from our Sunday school class. Because my friend is very creative and organized (I joke that she should run for president someday, I would totally vote for her) we went from one event to another. My pictures are all out of order, but here they are...

We made smores of course!!

Some people brought their riding toys and we rode all over their land on four wheelers, easy goes, and rangers. The kids loved this part!! There are 3 ponds, lots of cows, donkeys, and horses on their land.

Just wanted to get a picture in of this angel who is growing so fast.

We all went on a hay ride. We snuggled in and sang songs at the top of our lungs.

There was a huge screen and projector out side and the kids watch Charlotte's Web and we all ate chili. Later we played music videos and the kids sang and danced to worship music. I loved watching them get down with hands wide open. I know God must have been smiling!!
