We had a flip flop drive at our church before we left for Africa. We asked the congregation to bring flip flops of all colors and sizes and boy did they deliver. We had so many flip flops that we had to leave some behind to be taken on future trips. The kids were so grateful to be getting new shoes. The experience really helped put things into perspective for me. We are so blessed! Thanks to all who gave shoes for these people, but most of all thanks to Jehova-Jireh who provides blessings to all.

God's creation!

Some of my family has asked for pictures of our time in Africa. I think that because we have so many my computer has a hard time sending. SO, I am going to post some on this blog as I can along with my thought or comments of the picture.
I can almost hear you saying "Ahhhhh!" because these sweet things are so cute!! We went to an area where the giraffe run wild. These animals are so gentle. They are just as scared of us as we are of them. God is so creative! Watching them run and play with their babies just blessed me, but not nearly as much as the people did. More to come...

Super Man in high heels

His dad is gonna die when he sees this post. My little man is wearing a Super Man outfit that my mother in law made for my husband when he was a little boy. He loves wearing this costume. He puts it on at least once a week and flies around the house saving us from harm. On this day, Super Man was riding his bike, but look close... he was wearing his mom's high heels too. haha
My little hero! He is such a sweet little man, a true joy for all who know him.

Fun in the sun!

We spent the afternoon swimming with my sister's kids. Are they not the cutest?!? These two boys are best buds. They sure can cause a ruckus if you know what I mean. ;)

These girls are sure going to miss each other when we move. I have a feeling there will be summer camps at Aunt Lesha's house.

Starting out...

I was inspired to start this blog because, as most of you know, we are moving and I wanted to make a way for those who know and love us to see what we are up to. SO to those of you who love my kids, this one's for you! ;)
I vow to try my best to keep you updated on what is going on in the lives of our kids and our journey.
For right now this it:
* We have been accepted to Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS)
* We are in the process of finding an apartment. Our move date is the first week in July. We have an apartment in mind and will go see it this week end to hopefully put a deposit down on it to hold our spot. Please pray for us. We want to live where God wants us to live. We know He has a place for us and are trusting Him to guide us there.
* Please feel free to share this blog address with those who know us. Please feel free to leave a comment. Please join us in prayer, worship, and celebrating what God is doing in our lives. Our journey has been slow moving, but God has opened one door after another to show us the way. He is building our faith!! There is no God like our God.
